  • 7 quarts plain popped corn
  • 2 cups slivered almonds (or other nuts)
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Dash of cayenne pepper (optional)

  1. Pop the popcorn according to package instructions and place it in a large mixing bowl.
