Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples: Core and slice apples into wedges about 1/2 inch thick. In a bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
  2. Set Up Breading Station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with half the cinnamon-sugar mixture in a third bowl.
  3. Coat the Apple Slices: Dredge each apple wedge in flour, dip in egg, then coat with panko mixture. Repeat for all slices.
  4. Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place coated apple slices in a single layer in the basket and lightly spray with cooking spray. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway.
  5. Serve: Sprinkle remaining cinnamon-sugar over hot apple fries and serve immediately with caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt.
