  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 3 T taco seasoning
  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup chunky salsa
  • 1 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and mix well with the beef before spooning it into the greased pie pan.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream and eggs until smooth. Add salsa, cheese, garlic salt, and black pepper, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the seasoned beef in the pie pan and sprinkle additional cheese on top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until set and golden brown.
