  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ⅔ cup pumpkin puree, blotted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, ground cloves, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cream softened butter with white and brown sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, maple syrup, and blotted pumpkin puree; mix well.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in half of the chopped pecans.
  7. Scoop dough onto a baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 13-15 minutes until lightly golden.
