Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups dry ditalini pasta
  • 2 1/23 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 34 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  2. Add the dry ditalini pasta and stir to combine with the garlic.
  3. Pour in enough chicken broth to cover the pasta and add salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for about 9-10 minutes.
  4. Remove the lid, stir, and check for doneness; some broth should remain.
  5. Drizzle in heavy cream while keeping the heat on simmer, stirring for one minute until mixed.
  6. Remove from heat and add butter and parmesan cheese; stir until melted into a creamy sauce.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning; sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired.
