  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 44 whoppers (for decoration)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 ounces)
  • 1 small tube white cake decorating gel
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, followed by peanut butter and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Scoop cookie dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, rolling each ball in granulated sugar before placing on the sheet.
  7. Bake for about 8 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Once cooled, melt chocolate chips and dip Whoppers into it; place on cookies as eyes and pipe legs with white gel.
