  • 8 oz rice noodles
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Coat sliced beef with cornstarch.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over high heat and sear the beef for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from the skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining oil and stir-fry bell pepper and broccoli for 4–5 minutes.
  5. Add green onions, garlic, and ginger; cook for an additional minute.
  6. Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and optional red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  7. Return beef to the skillet along with cooked noodles and pour the sauce over everything. Toss well to combine.
  8. Serve garnished with extra green onions.
