  • 6 tbsp unsulphured molasses
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2¾ cups water
  • 8 strips thick Turkey Bacon
  • 3 tbsp Turkey Bacon grease
  • ½ cup reserved cooked bean water

Instructions

  1. Soak the navy beans in water for 8-12 hours.
  2. Drain and rinse the beans. Boil them in fresh water for 1½ hours until tender.
  3. In an oven-safe pot, combine the cooked beans with brown sugar, molasses, apple cider vinegar, and seasonings.
  4. Cook turkey bacon until light brown; chop and add to the bean mixture.
  5. Bake uncovered in a preheated oven at 300°F for about 3 hours total, stirring halfway through.
