  • Blue gel food coloring
  • Red gel food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup salted butter (softened)
  • 45 cups powdered sugar
  • 57 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Patriotic sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions.
  3. Divide the batter into three bowls: leave one plain, color one blue, and one red using gel food coloring.
  4. Alternate pouring the colored batters into each liner, filling them about ¾ full.
  5. Use a toothpick to swirl the batters gently for a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 18-21 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean; cool completely.
  7. Melt white chocolate chips in short intervals in the microwave.
  8. Beat softened butter until creamy, then gradually mix in powdered sugar, heavy cream, and lemon juice.
  9. Combine melted white chocolate with frosting mixture and whip until fluffy.
  10. Frost cooled cupcakes and top with patriotic sprinkles.
